Legend Woods Friesian Sport Horses is proud to present their 2001 Friesian Stallion, Novi of Legend Woods...

Novi of Legend Woods is a very promising, purebred Friesian son of the legendary Friesian Sport Horse sire, Nero. Just like his legendary father, he has a wonderful temperament and LOTS of movement! His movement is very light and naturally round and forward. He engages in the hind easily and naturally and is very willing and likes to work.

Novi has sired a number of offspring now (see offspring links below)and we are very impressed with his get. In the Fall of 2006 and 2007, four of his yearling and weanling foals went to the Friesian Sport Horse and Friesian Blood Horse inspections and all four scored well, with high marks on movement. One of Novi's Thoroughbred Cross sons, Novi's Sweet Sylvan, won the title of FBHR Junior Site Champion! Out of 15 youngsters, he scored the highest. He had the second highest score overall – of all the age divisions in the inspection. All of Novi's inspected offspring have earned a minimum of 2nd premium and some have earned High Merit awards (scores of 7.7 and above).

Because this bloodline grows slowly, we decided to not start Novi in training real young. He was lightly started driving and under saddle in past years. Currently, he is in training in Wisconsin and is being worked full time now. Look for him in the show ring in 2010!

Novi holds papers with the Friesian Heritage Horse & Sporthorse International (HH) and the Friesian Sport Horse Registry (FSHR).

In June 2010, Novi was inspected and earned an 8.0 First Premium, High Merit on a Sporthorse standard! He also passed his under saddle Ster testing with a 7.9!

All of Novi's offspring are eligible for registration with the Friesian Heritage Horse & Sporthorse International (HH), the Friesian Sport Horse Registry (FSHR) and the Friesian Blood Horse Registry (FBHR), among many others.

Novi was at the Midwest Horse Fair (April 18-20, 2008)and the Minnesota Horse Expo (April 25-27, 2008), performing with the Black Pearls Friesian Dance Troop.

Due to his training and show schedule, Novi will be standing to a very limited number of mares in 2010. Transported semen could be made available by special request & arrangement.

Breeding fee: $1000 LFG - Discounts are available for exceptionally high quality mares or an incentive (cash back) is available for people who commit to having the offspring inspected by 3 years old.
